What Grounds Me

..I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..
— Psalm 139:14 (KJV)

So what does “fearfully” even mean?

It’s not about being scared—it’s about awe.

In the original Hebrew, “fearfully” means crafted with deep reverence and intention—like God made you with honor, care, and purpose. “Wonderfully” means exactly what it sounds like—set apart and full of worth.

When David wrote this, he wasn’t saying he had it all together.

He was saying, “God, even with everything You see in me—You still call me worthy.”

That’s how I see people when I photograph them.

Imperfect, honest, deeply human—and still created with meaning.

You don’t have to try harder to be seen. You already are.
